Meet Mr. & Mrs. Kacalek! 🤍

Last year, Raychel and Nickolas reached out to ask if I would photograph their wedding, and OF COURSE my answer was yes!

This wedding was especially meaningful to me because quite a few years ago, I also had the privilege of photographing Raychel’s sister Jasmine’s wedding. So when Raychel asked me to be part of her big day too, there was absolutely no way I was going to miss it!

Earlier this year, we met up for a quick little engagement session—you can find that one on the blog too!—and somehow August snuck up on us before we knew it.

This wedding was also a little extra special because we were able to be part of it in more ways than one. Not only did I get to capture their wedding day, but Freedom Works BBQ provided the food too! We served up pulled pork, mashed potatoes, and our pit beans—and be sure to check out some of the fun food photos!

I also want to send a special shout-out to my daughter-in-law, Sydney, for assisting me as my second photographer! A HUGE shout-out to my husband, Dale, and our son, Austin, for helping prep all of the food and making sure everything was there and ready on time! And of course, a big thank-you to Cara for helping take care of Daniel for the day so we could make it all happen.

It truly takes a tribe, and I am SO thankful for mine! 🤍
