Earlier this year, one of my very best friends reached out to tell me she was getting married in June and asked if I would share in her big day. Of course, my answer was an immediate YES!
Jocelyn and I go WAY back, all the way to July of 2006, which somehow means we’ve been friends for almost 20 years. I’m not entirely sure how that happened because I’m pretty sure neither of us has aged a day. 😂
We actually met through my husband, Dale. Before I even knew Jocelyn, he kept telling me, “You’re really going to like her.” Turns out, he was right... and I suppose I have to give him credit for that one! Over the years, her son Jacob and my son Wyatt became best friends too, and somehow here we are nearly two decades later.
What a ride these last 20 years have been. We’ve shared a love of God, coffee, our kids and families, lots of laughter, some incredibly beautiful moments, and some of the not-so-beautiful parts of life too. Through it all, I’m so grateful for a friendship that has stood the test of time.
Jocelyn, it was truly such an honor to be a part of your wedding day. Congratulations, my sweet friend! I wish you and your family a lifetime of love, laughter, happiness, strong coffee, and countless beautiful memories. Here’s to the next 20 years, although I’d appreciate it if they would go by a little slower than the last 20 did. ❤️
