A couple of weeks ago, on one of our cooler and windier fall days, I met up with the Johnson family for their family photos. But first, let’s go back to 2017, when I first met Rachel and Corey.
That year, my husband and I had the privilege of photographing their very special wedding day—and their wedding held a little extra meaning for me because they chose a venue that is near and dear to my heart: Rockin’ B Ranch in Liberty Lake.
During my earlier—and even middle—years of photography, the wonderful owners of Rockin’ B Ranch graciously allowed me to use their beautiful homestead for photo sessions. I have probably photographed at least 60 sessions there over the years, if not more! So when Rachel and Corey chose RBR for their wedding, I could not have been more thrilled.
Life has changed over the years and I haven’t made it back there recently, but they were always the BEST people, and I truly hope they are doing well!
Fast-forward to our fall session in Hauser. It was definitely colder and windier that day, but you would NEVER know it looking at these photos! Jaylen and Groot—the family dog—were both such great sports, and Rachel, your smile was infectious the entire time!
It was so wonderful seeing you again after all these years and getting to meet the newest little member of your family. ♡ I absolutely love when photography brings past clients back into my life!
And one last mention — a BIG thank you to my amazing daughter-in-law, Sydney, for always lending me her talented eye whenever she can. ♡ I appreciate you so much!
Rachel and Corey, I truly hope I get to meet up with the three of you again in the years to come so I can continue watching Jaylen grow up through my lens.
