have tried several times to schedule family photos over the past few years. It always seemed like one of us had something come up; We both had babies, and life was keeping both our families busy! Before meeting in person last October for family photos, we had some meaningful conversations. It was heartwarming to discover our shared love & trust for God and how much we could relate to each other.
During these conversations, I learned that Monique was expecting a long-awaited little one in the fall. This news was both exciting and challenging. I felt an even deeper connection when I realized she was the same age I was when I had Daniel; I wish I had known her back then!
Finally meeting in person was wonderful, and I got to meet her husband, Nate, along with their two lovely daughters, Hazel and the adorable Memphis Grace – who ironically is the same age as Daniel!
Last fall, I had the privilege of capturing their family photos, and it was an even greater joy when Monique asked me to take her maternity photos. Although I haven't specialized in baby bump photography in my years as a photographer, after a couple sessions this year, it might just become my favorite. What could be better than embarking on this journey with someone before they even arrive in the outside world?
